Look behind the stage curtain and discover the magic that brings a show to life! Whether you’ve always dreamed of taking the stage or you’re curious about what happens behind the scenes, Look Behind the Curtain is your chance to try it out in a fun, friendly, no-pressure environment. Have a go at acting, explore set building, lighting, sound, costumes, stage management and more — no experience required. Or, if you prefer, just chat, sit and watch!

Come along, meet our welcoming amateur theatre group, have a drink, have a laugh, and see where you might fit in. You don’t need to audition, commit, or know anything about theatre… just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm. You might be surprised where the spotlight finds you!

Have you heard about our Showtime Project? We really, really want to bring loads more creative arts events to our Village Hall for everyone to enjoy! That's why we need to raise £42,000 to buy all new stage lighting and sound equipment for theatre productions, equipment for a village cinema, and a digital piano to encourage and enhance many more live music events. We have grant applications in progress, but we shall also be hosting some fundraising events - watch this space!

Sale of alcohol

The Committee now has a community premises alcohol licence. There are additional conditions which hirers must agree to, if they intend to sell alcohol during their hire period. This includes ticketed events where the ticket includes free alcohol. Please tell us about this, when you make your booking.
