Facilities

The main hall is 108m², excluding the stage, with good natural light. There is limited car parking immediately outside the hall, with spaces reserved for users with limited mobility, and a gentle ramp to the main entrance. The main hall has fluorescent lights and radiant wall heaters. There are 8 electrical sockets available to users. Folding tables and stacking chairs are kept in a separate storage area near the front entrance. There are both long and square folding tables - enough to seat 100 people. We have 100 special event upholstered chairs and 36 everyday chairs

The kitchen is well-equipped with cutlery and crockery to serve approximately 100. The cooker has a double oven, double upper oven/grill, and 8 halogen hob rings. There is a separate warming cupboard and microwave. There are two fridges, both with small ice box freezer compartments. There is a handwashing sink, and a double stainless steel sink with a drainer on one side. There is a boiling water dispenser. The kitchen has a hatch to the main hall.

The main hall has a curtained stage at the opposite end to the kitchen. There are steps up to the stage on either side.The hall has a fibre internet connection and free wifi access to this for users. Details of how to access it are on display within the hall. The mobile phone signal is unreliable in this part of the village for some phone providers.

The entrance hall has hooks at high and low levels for coats and bags. There are separate toilets for ladies and gentlemen. The ladies includes a low level toilet and handwashing basin, for children. The gents is suitable for wheelchair access and also contains a baby-changing unit.

To the left of the stage, at the back of the hall is a small room mainly used for storage. The main fire exit opens to the rear, and a passageway (visible through the window in the above picture) brings users around the outside of the kitchen back to the front of the hall. Fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and smoke alarms are positioned throughout the hall in accordance with fire regulations.
